Grace is about what happened before and what happened after. “I used to be lost, but now I’m found, and I used to be blind, but now I can see.” If we could only fully understand what we sing so easily, our lives would be full of more grace, and the people who serve God in our churches would be more sure of themselves.

Prayer

Lord God Almighty, by your grace, I know that I am welcomed into your presence and loved as a child when I stand before you today. Thank you for saving me from all the dangers of the dark and bringing me into your light. Help my heart and feet follow your path and shine your light. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
