Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. — 1 Chronicles 16:8

Giving thanks means more than just being thankful to God. It also means telling other people about the good things he has done so they can know him as their Father, Redeemer, and Victorious Lord. Then others can join us in a chorus of thanksgiving from the hearts of those whom God’s love has saved.

Prayer

Thank you, Holy God, Almighty King, for blessing all those serving you today under difficult conditions. In particular, I appreciate all missionaries who share Jesus’ grace with those living in foreign cultures who need to know you as their heavenly Father. They should be empowered to express themselves, their safety and that of their loved ones should be protected, and they should be successful in their endeavors. I would appreciate your assistance in helping me to understand that true gratitude involves giving to others. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
