He first loved us. He gave us his Son to save us, whether we chose to accept his grace or not. We have the choice of accepting or rejecting the sacrifice of his Son’s death for our sins. As 1 John 2:1-2 points out, the only thing we have to do is realize that he also died for everyone else in the world.

I’ll never fully comprehend why you should love me and send Jesus to die for me, dear King, God Almighty. I appreciate your love. I’m grateful that you paid the price for my sins. I’m grateful that Jesus came to save me. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
