Father, God, we love you is something we sing and say in public prayers. But pay close attention to the first line of our verse. “Lord, I love you…” Even when we worship as a group, we are taught how important it is to show God love in our own way. When did you last tell the One who made everything, “I love you”?

Prayer

I cherish you, Heavenly Father. You are more than deserving of my love, which is why I love you. Because you first loved me, I love you in return. Because you sent your son to be my big brother and cover the cost of my adoption into your family, I have a special affection for you. Because of your loyalty, I cherish you. Because of your grace, you have given me permission to love you. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
