Streams of water: water that revives fading hopes, water that cools parched souls, and water that restores the weary and worn out. This isn’t simply some beverage we can sip with our lips. This is the most vital spiritual water that God wants to give us, his children. Let us spend August refreshing ourselves with Jesus’ promises and believing that the Spirit will heal our spirits as we get closer to him.

I appreciate you, dear Father, giving me Jesus to rescue me and the Holy Spirit to sustain me and improve me. Bless me as I work to become closer to my Savior and let the living water of your Holy Spirit to renew and repair my spirit, particularly this month. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
