It is so simple to conceive of ourselves as commoners who lack wealth. However, if we have access to a computer and can read email, we are better off than most others in the world. Let’s avoid letting our “things” stand in the way of our compassion and faith. God wishes to provide assistance for our camels in navigating the needle’s eye. If we keep in mind that everything we have is a gift from him and that he wants us to utilize it to benefit others and reflect well on him, he will.

Prayer

Tender Father, it may be quite difficult for me to not worry about money matters sometimes. I am aware of my many blessings and advantages. Father, though, I don’t want to be controlled by my possessions or diverted by my efforts to gain what I need. Please support me as I strive to be abundant in goodness, generosity, and gratitude with any blessings you choose to bestow upon me. In Jesus’ name I ask it. Amen.
