Do you believe in Jesus? Do you really think that? Shortly after Max Lucado got back from his mission work in Rio, Brazil, he told a group of his closest friends that his theology was pretty simple. He didn’t understand a lot of the big, hard theological issues that cause people to disagree. But Max said he came to the firm and deep belief that God loves us and showed that love by really sending Jesus to live among us, die for us, and be raised from the dead so that we could be raised from death, too. This is God’s work. It is both incredibly simple and incredibly powerful.

Prayer

Holy God, I do believe that Jesus came to earth, died, and rose from the dead. Please help me show and tell those around me who are looking for hope and help about this message. Holy Spirit, help me see the people around me who are looking for answers, and give me the courage and sensitivity to tell them about Jesus. Father, I really want to be a part of your work. Please help me today as I recommit myself to it. I pray in the name of Jesus, who saved me. Amen.
