We have faith that he will return for us because of the price he paid to redeem us. While we wait, we honor his mission by being a people eager to do good, demonstrating that he is our Lord through our actions.

Prayer

I find myself awaiting Jesus, O God. Because he is coming for me, I am confident that my life has purpose and direction, even on days that are long, difficult, and seemingly fruitless. Fire up my heart to eagerly anticipate Jesus’ glorious return, and stir my desires to desire only what is good and holy. I desire to meet you! But, dear Lord, I desire to be like you as well! I pray in the glorious name of Jesus. Amen.
