O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. — Psalm 95:6

Worship is more than just giving God our heart, soul, and words. It also has to do with how we stand. When we realize how lucky we are to be called God’s children, we can’t help but bow down or kneel before him in his power and greatness. We come to him, a king who has won many battles, and offer ourselves in full submission. God, on the other hand, chooses to be kind to us, like a shepherd who wants to take care of his sheep. This kind of grace makes us want to bow and kneel in worship.

Prayer

Shepherd of my soul, I come to you as one of your sheep to ask you to protect me and give me rest. I am often stressed out and driven by the pressures and temptations of life. But I come to you willing to be used for your glory, not just today but for the rest of my life. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
