I’m not sure what we have to fear when we surrender our hearts and lives to God. God will not only embrace us, but he will also rescue and transform us. However, we often find it difficult to modify our beliefs. We get entrenched in harmful behaviors that prevent us from changing. We are duped by Satan’s false lies. We stifle the Spirit’s work in us by thinking negatively about ourselves. So why not confess our faults and offer God our whole lives? We’ll discover something extremely great if we look!

Prayer

Father, you are holy and good; I don’t understand why it’s so difficult for me to put up some of my “pet” sins. I have conflicting emotions about wanting to get beyond these issues and not wanting to. To fully devote myself to you, I need your assistance. I make a heartfelt commitment to you to dedicate my whole life, so if you would please send your reviving, purifying, and healing power to me via the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
