Refreshed! That’s difficult most of the time, but August is particularly difficult, isn’t it? It is either the midst of summer or the middle of winter depending on which side of the equator you are on. In any situation, we must remember that God desires for us to be refreshed by his presence, grace, and rest, and that he desires for us to assist others experience the same.

Prayer

God, pardon me for being so busy that I don’t intentionally take time to pause and enjoy your rest. Father, gently show me that I need this weekly break in your company and with my family in order to be all you want me to be and everything I am capable of becoming. God, please restore my spirit and make me joyful. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
