This is how the Spirit works in our lives: we have to give ourselves over to what he is trying to do in us.

Prayer

Father, please give me more strength through your Spirit so I can get a better handle on my desires, what I say, how I act, and what I do. Help me kill the things that would take away my spiritual passion and my ability to be a good influence on people who don’t know Jesus. Make my faith stronger as I try to treat others with love and keep my faith even when things get hard. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
