I have numerous pals that talk with great wisdom. Everyone pays attention when they speak out because their thoughts are always intelligent, well-timed, and important. Their upright lifestyles and wise use of words benefit and feed everyone who hear. Others, on the other hand, are always talking about everything and spending little or no time doing what they teach. Their statements are dismissed as nothing more than their own need to hear their own thoughts on subjects about which they have little knowledge.

Prayer

Holy and wise God, please give me wisdom and self-control to keep my lips shut until what I say may benefit people to whom I’m speaking. Help my remarks be useful and honest. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
