In the face of cruel governments, racial prejudice, and human injustice, this promise of God has occasionally appeared to be a mirage throughout human history. However, cruel regimes fall with time. Despots die and are buried. Complacency is replaced by moral outrage. Do you not believe that it is our duty as Kingdom citizens to uphold the morals and principles of God’s will? Jesus taught us to pray, “Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven,” so let’s say it again. Let’s also show God’s will in our homes, friendships, and places of worship!

Prayer
The inhumanity that taints our globe and tramples upon priceless and innocent peoples must disgust you, holy and just God, even more than it does us. Father, please do what is right and punish those nations that are merciless in their wrongdoing. Persuade us—your people—that we, both individually and collectively as churches, must serve as centers of rapprochement, justice, healing, and hope. Use me and my fellow members of our church to demonstrate your justice and righteousness toward the people in our neighborhood who are in need of freedom from oppression and who require assistance in advocating for justice in all spheres of life. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
