The LORD… is close! …present! …close! How do I know? He got close to him in the stable. He lived and worked among us. He went to Calvary to suffer with us and for us. We know that when bad things happen to us or when our hearts break, God is close by to save us. So, will we let him into our hearts and ask him to come close? Don’t let problems or sadness make you turn away from God or doubt that he is close. Let him come near you.

Prayer

Please be close to me today, LORD. Make it clear that you are in my life. Father, I also ask you to bless the people I know who are having trouble with their faith and whose hearts are broken and sad. Please be involved in their lives and let them know you are there. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
