TEMPTATION… All of us have been there. Satan’s silver bullet designed just for us personally. “No one will ever know, and it won’t hurt anyone anyway,” a mysterious voice whispered in a way that sounded like our own. Even if those two things were true, which they almost never are, it wouldn’t matter because something in us gave in to what we knew was wrong. One way to fight temptation is to remind ourselves that we are not the only ones facing it. Others have faced it and won, so with God’s help and the power of the Holy Spirit, we can too.

Prayer

Most Holy Father, keep temptation out of my heart and sin out of my life. I want to do everything I can to help you. Forgive me for my past sins, and fill me with your Holy Spirit through your grace and your word so I can resist Satan’s attempts to pull me away from you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
