We sometimes think that God is too weak, too far away, or too moody for us to be honest with him about our problems. Job wasn’t a shy person. He is a great reminder that God wants us to stay close to him, even when things are rough. No matter where you are in your struggles, you should be honest with God, but not in a rude way. Let him help you with your deepest hurts, worries, and fears, not just the easy ones.

Prayer

Abba Father, thank you for hearing what I said and what was in my heart. Thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit and Jesus as my advocates before your throne. Thank you for still wanting to be with me when my heart is full of pain and conflict. Thank you for loving me even when I was broken and going through hard times. Thank you most for your promise to bring me home to you so that I can share in your glory. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
