Costs have been paid. The ransom has been paid. God’s punishment was stopped not because of anything we did to make him happy, but because God himself killed Jesus on the cross to pay for our sins. If God has gone to so much trouble to bring us back to himself and make us part of his family, how can we say no? We shouldn’t! Father God, here’s our hearts to you!

Prayer

I am aware that my sin has grieved you and offended your holiness, O Merciful God. Therefore, words are inadequate to express how grateful I am to you. My sin caused you pain, but you still made a sacrifice to atone for it and bring me back into your good graces. I thank you for your love, I thank you for your grace, and I pledge to extend your mercy to others. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
