Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. — Proverbs 3:5

What do you use as a guide for your life? God is the only one who can guide our steps correctly, no matter how smart, wise, experienced, or knowledgeable we are. God asks us to have faith in him and his wisdom, even when we can’t see the reason right away. He wants us to be aware of his guidance and grace in everything we do. As we learn to trust him and recognize his presence, we realize all of a sudden that our paths are much straighter and our goals are much closer.

Prayer

Abba Father, please give me the strength to not depend on what I know. I know that my thinking can be wrong and that what I plan to be good can backfire on me. Please give me wisdom and understanding as I try to live for you in the confusing and immoral world we live in now. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
