No, as amazing as those gifts are, he gives us one more thing: until he comes to take us home to God, Jesus stays alive to ask God for grace on our behalf. Jesus is not only our Savior, but also our protector and brother at the side of the Father!

Prayer

Jesus, my dear Savior, how I love you. You made a supreme sacrifice for me. You compromised your dignity to save me. To reassure me, you destroyed death. But today I am especially grateful and conscious of the fact that every prayer I offer and every action I take is being used by the Father to bless me. I’m grateful. In Jesus’s precious name I pray.
