Who do you compare what you can’t compare? How can you understand the infinite if your mind is small? How can you talk about majesty in anything else when God is the most majestic thing you can think of? God exhausts our superlatives. The greatness of God blows our minds. We can’t even imagine how great God is. We can’t know or believe anything about him. But the most amazing thing about him is that he chose to be a baby. His parents wrapped him in strips of cloth and put him in a feed trough because there was no room in the inn. Sometimes the most amazing things don’t need our biggest and best words to describe them. Sometimes the greatest wonders of all reach out and grab our hearts with their tiny fingers.

Prayer
I don’t know how to understand how much you love all of us, and yes, even me. How did you come to be in our world through Jesus? Just like the Magi, I bow down and worship you, Lord Jesus, and the Father who sent you. Who else is like you, God? Nobody comes even close. But you have brought us close to a cause that only you know about. I want to thank both Your Majesty and your manager. Tender Shepherd, you’ve led me safely through some of the hardest times in my life. Please let me know who you are, because right now I’m trying to live for you. Even though I’m sure that you’re leading me to your heavenly home, I have to admit that the path gets hard and faith gets hard sometimes. Lord, give me new courage, like you did for Joshua and Moses when they were afraid to go into battle. Then, my Lord, please use me to lead others to your promise and to your door. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
