What can really make us happy and keep us going? Maybe the best way to answer that question is to ask another: What can we keep when our bodies are quietly buried? Our relationships with God and his people are the only ones that last after we die. How can we replace him with something that won’t last if he is what lasts?

Prayer

You are my hope, my strength, and my future, Mighty Yahweh, Strength of Israel, Keeper of the Covenant, and Fulfiller of every Prophecy. I still can’t believe that the One who keeps the universe going knows my name, hears my voice, and cares about me. Thank you for being the Great I Am, my past, my present, and my future. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
