Our goal as Christians is not to obey some law, to adhere to some set of rules, or even be followers of some discipline. Our goal as Christians is to be conformed to the character and ministry of Jesus. This is what the Spirit does in us (2 Corinthians 3:18), and Paul makes it clear here and elsewhere (Galatians 4:19) that this is what he wants to accomplish when he works with other people. Shouldn’t we also do this as parents, friends, and spiritual guides?

Prayer
Holy Lord, make everything I do and say and everything I do in my ministry and in my life more like Jesus. Not just in my words, but also in my life, I want him to be my Lord. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
