Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: — Colossians 1:28

As Christians, our goal is not to follow some law or set of rules, or even to follow some discipline. As Christians, our goal is to be like Jesus in character and in what he did. This is what the Spirit does in us (2 Corinthians 3:18), and Paul makes it clear here and elsewhere (Galatians 4:19) that this is what he wants to accomplish when he works with other people. Shouldn’t we also do this as parents, friends, and spiritual guides?

 

Thought

Prayer

Holy Jesus, align my heart, words, life, ministry, and actions with what Jesus did. I want him to be my Lord in my words and in the way I live. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
