Paul ends his amazing letter to the Galatians with this amazing reminder: both Jews and Gentiles who are saved by believing in Jesus Christ are God’s people, his Israel. Like Abraham, who went on a long journey because he believed God’s promise, all spiritual Israelites follow God’s instructions and hold on to God’s promise by having faith in Jesus Christ. Like those who were set free from slavery to sin and death during the Exodus by God’s power and the blood of the Passover lamb, God’s people today have been bought with blood and set free from sin and death. Here, there are no Jews, no Gentiles, no slaves, and no free men or women, because we are all God’s people and enjoy his mercy and peace.

Prayer
El Shaddai, LORD of the Covenant, thank you for our great Patriarchs of Faith who kept the faith and believed in your Promise. Thank you for doing what you said you would do in Jesus. Thank you for making me one of your children and blessing me. Now, let us, your people, praise you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
