We serve by God’s grace. God’s grace in Jesus saves us and makes us holy. Because of Jesus’ grace, God says that we are holy and without sin. Because of Jesus’ grace, we each have a gift that we can use to serve the Church. Because of God’s grace in Jesus, the Holy Spirit gives us the strength to keep going through hard times. So, we are given what kind of ministry we can do, what opportunities we have to serve and make a difference in people’s lives, and what power we have to do our ministry. It’s nothing to be proud of. When we give ourselves to the Lord so that he can use us for his glory, it makes his power even stronger.

God, my eternal father, let your name be praised. Thank you for Jesus, who has saved me, given me gifts, made me stronger, shown me the way, and given me the power to serve. May everything I say and do bring you glory. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
