The way the shepherds felt when they saw the baby Jesus is exactly how we will feel when Jesus comes back: we will praise and honor God for all the things we see and hear and find that they are just as God said they would be. Since God kept his promise when Jesus first came, we can be sure that he will do the same when Jesus comes again.

Lord, thank you for being true and trustworthy. You are all-powerful and trustworthy. Help me be true to you in everything I do, say, and think during this busy and wonderful time of the year. May I never stop believing that Jesus will come back, and may my belief in him always make my life more pleasing to you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
