Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble. — Psalm 10:12

We are a lot of mindful that we live in a wrecked world. Tragically, our wrecked world is likewise loaded up with broken individuals. In long periods of agony and misery, whenever the people who hurt know their defenselessness, we have no other source than God to whom we can turn. The LORD, the pledge God of Israel, who stayed faithful to his commitments, saved his kin and delivered his Messiah, is likewise the God who remains by us. In the short run, there are minutes when he appears to not be watching or tuning in or mindful. What do we do in those minutes? Imagine we don’t have our sentiments and questions? No, we sincerely shout out to our LORD who has reclaimed, saved, and freed before and approach him to do likewise in our day!

Prayer

God of light, be with us in these frightening and gloomy times. Give us comfort in our times of suffering and give us back the joy of living and the hope of good things. Raise your hand and take concrete steps to bring repentance and renewal to your church, your family, and our time. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
