God is a shield, and we can trust what He says. Not only is his way right, but it also gives life. But we have to take refuge in him if we want his perfect word and perfect way to be a blessing and if we want his presence to protect us. We must choose to put our loyalty, trust, and dependence on him, and we must choose to live by his perfect word.

God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I trust you with my soul and my future. You protect me and give me strength. Please keep the Evil One away from me, my family, and your church. Please keep us safe physically, spiritually, and morally this summer as we serve you and try to do what you want by obeying your Word. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
