When people worship God in a real way and fast to find out what he wants, God calls them to service and mission. Worship in Christianity is not an end in itself; rather, it is a way to get ready for mission. Don’t get so caught up in worship that you forget about it when you walk out the door. Instead, you should realize that it is meant to encourage you to worship in public and help people in the world in your everyday life (Romans 12:1-2). Listen to the words of the songs, the message of the Bible, and the conviction of the Holy Spirit in your heart as you worship with your brothers and sisters. God may want you to do something important in your world.
