When we make others feel better, we feel better as well. We are not given the Holy Spirit’s consolation and God’s presence because we are superior to other people. Instead, he comforts us so that we can help, inspire, and empower others. God has hands, but I can only glorify him and serve others by using mine.

Prayer

I’ve experienced times when I was too broken to continue, tender shepherd. I am aware that your abundant grace and mercy gave me the perseverance to go on. Please use me this week to comfort and love others, allowing them to experience your warm embrace and grow more eager for the day we will be reunited with you in heaven. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
