We feel better when we help others feel better. God doesn’t give us his presence and the comfort of the Holy Spirit because we’re better than other people. No, he gives us comfort so that we can equip, empower, and inspire others. God has human hands, but I can only honor him and help other people when I use mine.

Prayer

Tender Shepherd, there have been times when I was so broken that I couldn’t go on. I know that your rich grace and mercy gave me the strength to keep going. Please use me this week to bring comfort and love to others, so they can feel your warm embrace and long more for the day we’ll see you face-to-face in heaven. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
