God is incredibly merciful and generous. That makes us happy, doesn’t it? I don’t know about you, but I am aware that I have sinned, erred, and broken the law. Without God’s mercy, I’d be lost in my sins (Romans 3:23-25). I couldn’t live the life that God wants for me without his grace (Romans 5:6-11). God sent Jesus to demonstrate his love for us because he is merciful and gracious (1 John 4:9-10). As a result of his immense mercy and grace, I have since let go of my previous, sinful self. My future is now connected to Jesus’, not to the one I earned (Colossians 2:12, 3:1-4).

Prayer

Thank you, Father of all grace and mercy. I appreciate you acting like God. Thank you for showing me mercy when I most needed it and for giving me grace when I did not deserve it. I’m grateful that you gave me life when I thought there was no hope for me. May I be rich in mercy and grace rather than in cash or gold. Help me to resemble you more. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
