People talk about forever love in cheap books, but this kind of love can only be found in God. We get to that source of eternal and divine love through the Holy Spirit, who helps us both receive and share it (Romans 5:5). The Lord wants us to teach the people who come after us about his love and righteous ways. We do this by remembering what the Lord has promised us and by doing what the Lord has asked us to do, so that people in the future can see and know how great and kind our God is.

Thank you, O God of glory and grace, for your covenants, promises, and love. May I live so that others, especially those who are born after me in my family, will understand that your love is unending. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
