God desires that we look for him and pray to him. He wants to respond to us and inform us of things that are incomprehensible to us. He desires our closeness so that we may get to know him. We are able to call on him in the same way that a fearful kid might to a loving father who is in the next room, knowing that he would respond, watch over, and soothe us. More than that, however, our Father will make truths known to us that, without his mercy, we would not be able to understand.

Prayer

I really want to know you and to be known by you, Almighty God and Abba Father. Yes, there are things in my life and heart that I wish didn’t exist. But I am aware of your grace, and I have faith that you are aware of my desire to share your grace and reflect your grandeur. Thank you for giving me the gift of being your kid and for providing for my future. In Jesus’ name I ask it. Amen.
