Amazing and kind Father, I’ll be the first to admit that I frequently have selfish thoughts in my heart. But in times like these, Father, I understand that I need you the most and that I want to do what you want. In order to see through any self-serving lies that would prevent me from putting you first in my life, kindly en-kindle your Spirit within me. Please pardon me when I act petty, selfish, or shallow. May I get to know you as well as a mortal can, not so that I can be satisfied, but so that you can be honored. owing to your grace. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
