Do all things without murmurings and disputings: — Philippians 2:14

Don’t whine or fight! We don’t usually think of these things when we think of purity and innocence. Paul was very close to and knew a lot about the Philippians. He was aware of their flaws and weaknesses. He also knew that complaining and fighting can hurt the life of a group of Christians who are getting along well otherwise. Let’s listen to his advice now, when churches are being taken over by the negative and cynical spirit that is so common in modern society.

Prayer

God, please forgive me and wash away my spirit of arguing. Please give me your Spirit so that I can only use my words to bless and build up and never to hurt or discourage. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
