Over the past two weeks, we have been blessed to read a number of Bible passages that talk about how the Spirit works in our lives. We’ve been happy about being God’s children for a few days now. Now, the two ideas come together in a beautiful statement: we are God’s “sons,” which means we are his children and have full inheritance rights. Not only has God given us grace, but we also live as his children and enjoy the benefits of being part of his eternal family.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, may I always think of your name as holy because I am your child. May your will and your rule be known in my life just as the angels honor it. Father, I know you will give me the food I need today, and I thank you for that. Please forgive me for my mistakes, just as I promise to forgive those who make mistakes against me. Dear Father, you are wonderful. Your Kingdom will always be there, and I want to be a part of it. Your strength gives me strength. I love you very much, Dad. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
