Did you realize the Bible doesn’t only state, “God loves you.” Now don’t let me confuse you. Scripture does tell us several times that God loves us. However, don’t overlook the fundamental fact here. Each time Scripture teaches us that God loves us, it also exhibits that love as well. God’s love is more than feeling and intention. God’s love is expressed. God loved us so deeply he didn’t just say, “I love you.” God revealed his through sending and killing his Son to give us his unparalleled love! We never have to question that God means what he says. He has followed up his words of love with his deeds.

God, thank you for loving me. You are kind and powerful. Thank you for both saying and showing that you mean it. Please know that I love you, too, dear Father. Take what I say and do today as proof of how much I love you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
