The battle we’re in isn’t with our bodies. Instead, it is a spiritual battle between very powerful forces that are hard to see. We shouldn’t think of this as a fake fight or a fight that doesn’t matter. Satan was crouching at Cain’s door, wanting to get him, just as he is crouching at ours, wanting to get us (Genesis 4:7). He will do everything he can with his evil forces to beat, kill, or corrupt us. We must take this war seriously and understand that our enemy has spiritual power.

Prayer

Father, please forgive me when I haven’t taken danger seriously. Give me a holy disgust for everything that is connected to what is not holy and goes against your work and will. Don’t let me be fooled by temptation, and save me from all of the evil one’s forms. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
