We belong to the Lord. He freed us from slavery to sin and death. We have put our lives in his hands by choice. His grace goes with us no matter what we do or where we go. He has said that he will never leave us. He has told us that nothing can ever get in the way of his love for us. So let’s live with a sense of excited anticipation, waiting to see where the Lord will lead us. Let’s face hard times, and even death, with the knowledge that we won’t be alone. Even in the shadow of death, we don’t have to be afraid of what evil can do. We belong to the Lord.

Prayer

Father, I’m grateful that you sent your Son to save me. Lord Jesus, I’m grateful that you came to earth, paid for my sin, and sent the Holy Spirit to be your presence in me. Take my life and do what you want with it. May my faith not fail when I face the worst things in life. I pray that you will be praised in me, whether I live or die. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
