Jesus IS the King! Christ was the point of God’s plan. God’s plan depended on Christ coming at the right time. God’s plan was to bring everyone together in Christ by making him king over everyone. God is very happy about this plan, too, because it will save us. God is the only one who can save us. Jesus saves us and rules over us. So, the real question we face today is this: In what parts of our lives, hearts, secrets, sins, or rebellion have we not given him control?

Prayer

I am aware that my heart is capable of deceit, Dear Father. I sometimes even manage to fool myself. But as I bow in your presence and am challenged by your Word, I am made aware of the areas in which I have not yet completely given you and Jesus’s lordship control. Dear Father, I beg you to gently reveal and convict me of my self-deception so that I may completely be lost in your will. Please do this through the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
