When we were baptized into Christ, we took part in his death on the cross and were reborn as new people. We have Christ living in us. The real challenge is for us to live like Christ in our world. Our motivation? Not to earn salvation, which has already been given to us by God’s grace, but to honor him who gave up everything to save us. (cf. Romans 6:1-14)

Prayer

God, thank you for loving me and sending Jesus to pay for my sins. I promise you today that I will live my life based on my faith in your Son, who died so that I can spend eternity with you. I ask that, through your Spirit, Jesus’ life shine through me. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
