In 1 Peter 2, we are reminded that we are here to “declare the praises of him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.” We have seen and felt how God saves people. We are the ones who get his good things. We are the people who are waiting for him to save us in a powerful way. How can we keep our mouths shut? How can we stay angry, pessimistic, or down on ourselves? Our God is the one who made the tomb empty and turned Jesus’ s dead body into our living and exalted Lord. He has the power to save. He comes to save us.

Prayer
O Great God, I admit that it’s easy for me to get stuck in my daily routine and lose interest in the joy and excitement of your salvation. Give me new eyes to see and a strong voice to talk about your great works and how you kept your promises. I think you’re leading me to glory, so help me show and share that glory with people who don’t know you as God, Savior, and King. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
