Understanding how much the Lord loves, is with us, and is close to us should make us want to serve him and grow closer to him. We love God for many reasons, but we want to tell him today that we love him most because he cares about us personally. In a world where people who are “above” them don’t want to spend time with those “below” them, we are truly blessed to have a God who listens to all of our cries, knows each of our voices, and tunes his ear to hear each of our whispers. Yes! As long as I live, I will pray to him, praise him, thank him, confess to him, and talk with him.

Prayer

Father, you are aware of every heartbeat and hair on my head. I’m grateful that you heard my prayers. I appreciate you providing the response I requested in response to so many of them. Please be patient with me when I am unable to discern your presence in other responses that are delayed or fail to produce the desired outcome. Even when I can’t see it, I trust that you are there and working for my benefit. I think you always act in my best interest and for your glory. But kindly Father, help me to grow in faith so that I will always have confidence in you. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
