Wisdom is that hard-to-get quality that we admire in other people but find hard to develop in ourselves. But God says that those who really ask will get it. But don’t forget the secret of ASKing: ask, look, and knock. Or, even better, read Proverbs 2. Wisdom is ours only if we want it more than anything else and value it more than anything else. God wants to give it to us, but there’s something about spiritual wisdom that makes us have to value it first before we can get it.

Prayer

Kind God who gives good things, please give me wisdom today. Let everything I do be in line with your will and for your glory. Let your Kingdom guide my heart as I decide what to do, and let your Spirit show me the way you want me to go. I’m sorry, Father, but I can’t figure out where to go without your help. So give me a wise mind today. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
