If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. — 1 Corinthians 15:19

Wow, that’s a strong and sobering idea. Our faith in Jesus’ resurrection and in being joined to him is so important that it makes everything else seem less important. Our hope in Christ is not just for this life; it also goes beyond life and breaks the chains of death. If it doesn’t give us this hope, it isn’t really good news because it doesn’t give us any hope at all. We’re wrong and you should feel bad for us. I do believe, though! Friends, that changes everything!

Prayer

Father God, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, I trust that your triumph over death in Jesus’ resurrection also signifies my victory over death! I hope that Jesus will raise me up from the grave to share life forever with you. I cannot tell you how much I look forward to meeting with you face to face and sharing in your glory and praising your name forever.In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
