Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. — Romans 6:11

Jesus died for our sins, and so did we. But just putting sin away won’t keep it from coming back. Every day, we must accept Jesus’ new life for us and be open to the Lord’s exciting will for us. Let’s leave the dead and the past where they belong. Let’s live with passion for God and keep our eyes on Jesus and what he has planned for us.

Prayer

Sovereign Lord and Loving Father, I don’t want my sinful past to come back to life. Please give me the power to live a full, Spirit-filled life that is always ready to follow your lead. Please let me know that you are there and what you want.
