Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; — Titus 2:13

One way to think about our lives is as a wait. We wait for our “blessed hope” no matter how long or short the wait is. The reason for this hope is that Jesus said he would come back. But more than just his coming back, our hope is based on the fact that he will come as our glorious Savior. On that day, our faith in Jesus as Lord will be proven true, and our greatest hopes will come true.

Prayer

God, thank you for sending Jesus the first time to save me from my sins. You are a good and holy God. Please give me strength while I wait for his glorious return, so I can live as victorious a life now as I will in the future with you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
