Rejoice evermore. — 1 Thessalonians 5:16

Where do you keep your heart? These verses are all about that. It’s about where our hearts spend the most time. Are you always aware of God’s presence in your life? Is he the invisible friend who is always with you through all your ups and downs? Or does God only show up when it’s convenient and disappear when things are busy or we think everything is fine? We can be happy when we know we are never alone. Prayer is the ongoing talk we have from Spirit to Spirit, from child to Abba to God. Thanksgiving and happiness are great ways to remind us that we are blessed, no matter what it looks like on the outside.

Prayer

Thank you, Dear and Good Father, for always being there. Give me a deeper sense of your presence and a deeper appreciation of you today. May my life show how happy I am that you saved me by grace. And may my heart find a home in you forever. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
